Why was this outbound pop3 email flagged as spam by the UTM?

The following was flagged as SPAM by the UTM.

This was an original (not a reply) email being sent outbound via pop3 from an Outlook client to a Cox email server.  For some reason the Sophos UTM thinks it was SPAM.

The body of this short message was just saying thanks to a friend who had stopped by the sender's place.  There was nothing else in this email.  No ads.  No attachments.  Nothing.

No other outbound messages were being stopped.

What am I missing here?

  • Shoey, it sounds like you have a misconfiguration or two.  Please start a new thread about those block, showing the lines from the SMTP log file for a blocked legit email and for a notification.
