Please check your disk space by running “df –h” on your console. If there’s not ample disk space, this could be the reason you are not able to successfully upgrade. Another solution, since you have a large amount of pending updates would be to take a backup of your configurations and re-image to the latest firmware version and then load your backup. Please show the result of df -h as suggest by Karlos.
If you want to keep your logs and reporting history, you will have to delete half of the files in /var/up2date/sys and perhaps in other places depending on what we see in your response.
If you don't care about logs and reporting history, Karlos' suggestion is the way to go.
