Install with temporary IP and Hostname

Question

Hello, 
 
 I have to migrate the settings from an endian firewall to a new SG 135W. 
 The goal is to have the same hostname and IP address as the existing firewall at the end of the migration. 
 So I wondered if I can give the Sophos UTM a temporary IP and temporary hostname in my domain and change this settings as a last step. 
 Is this possible? Is there a better way to reach my goal?

Hi Christian, 
 You can change the hostname and the IP address after the setup. Go to Management> system settings> Hostname.

Hi, Christian, and welcome to the UTM Community! 
 You can change the hostname after the fact, but it's not ideal. Go ahead and give it the current, correct, final FQDN as its name, but a different IP temporarily. If you've already given it a temporary name, change it by applying The Zeroeth Rule in Rulz .
