Root Partition

HI,

We have 2 SG 310 version 9.404-5 in Acvtive-Passive HA mode.

Today I got a mail that says:

Root partition is filling up - please check. Current usage: 89%

The dasbord says:

Log Disk 1% of 82 GB in use

Data Disk 6% of 67 GB in use

the Root partition is on which Disk? should we remove some files from the root partition?

 the dh -f shows this:

<M> securitysrv1:/home/login # df -h

UPDATE:

as you can see the du -shx * shows the Storage directory is the bigest one, I dont know if this has the root of the issue, but I did dig in this directory and find out the larges sub directory is: /var/storage/pgsql92/data/pg_xlog with almost 2.2 gb data and I can see lots of 16mb files that thier name is onlu lang number and all from the 23-08-2016 until today 26-08-2016.

  • Hi Aresh,

Run the following command as root: /etc/init.d/postgresql92 rebuild .

But anyway, check your logging setting and how long you are retaining log file for. Also, upgrade the disk partition to atleast 40 GB.

    Thanks
