  • I'm not aware of any passwd command, but there is a way to set a new WebAdmin password for the admin user:

        cc passwd [mynewpassword]

After that, you can login to WebAdmin and set the shell passwords there.

  • i followed the Knowledebase Article which didnt work, i reported that problem here.

Your suggestion is OK as long as you have access to the root account, not when you use the recovery boot option according to the KB.

  • Hi, Ben.

Are you saying that you were able to get into single mode (init=/bin/bash at GRUB) but got an error stating that passwd command was not found after you gained access to the shell?

I tried to reproduce this in my lab, but I had no such issue.

Considering your statement that you have followed the KB instructions correctly, 1 by 1, I would definitely reimage that device, as something does not seem to be right with your system.
