High Availability not working?

We have 2x SG320's in hot standby mode. Each one is plugged into a separate Cisco 2960s switch which is configured correctly for this use.

Failing over doesn't work. We tried again today and the UTM is still syncing some 6 hours later.

Any idea?

  • Iended up rebooting the slave and it finally synced. Not exactly HA if you have to do this. We will be testing within the coming days to ensure that this works as it should.

  • I had a similar issue and configuration. I was advised by Support that while HA can work over a switch, the preferred method is via a crossover cable. I put in a crossover cable last night and my issue with HA immediately went away. Are you on 9.4x perchance? It was only after this update that we had issues with HA.

  • The interfaces are connected via a switches but the HA is directly connected to each other via a normal straight cat5e.
I haven't used a crossover cable as I assume the interfaces autodetect. It does work although I'm unsure is this may be the issue?
