Anyone used the eglobal fanless mini pc, any suggestions

Hi,

I am looking to install UTM 9 to replace my dying asus router.  My currently broadband speeds is 200up and 12 down which will be going to 300up eventually.

I came across the below at aliexpress which has intel NIC and wondered whether ever used it and if it will be OK.

I was looking to purchase the i7 4500u.

Will appreciate any advice.

Thanks

  • looks like very nice box? What it doesn't say is NIC types, which will come into play for your external interface speed. Also you would need to unsure the base CPU freq is in the mid to high 2.5ghz range. The i7 will more than likely be an overkill for home use.

    Specs, buy 8gb with a 128ssd.

The second would need the NICs checked for compatiibility.

The wifi is not supported by the UTM software.

  • Thanks for the comments.

The dual NIC is as below which I believe should be OK.

    Network

    Network card

     Intel 82583V Gigabit Ethernet NIC

    Ethernet

    10/100/1000Mbps Adaptive
