Dilemma: ASG220 lic expires, SG230 lic not yet delivered

I have a big upcoming problem:

My ASG220 license expires on Sunday 17th April 2017 and will be replaced with an UTM SG230. The SG230 has been delivered today but its license (3y subscription!) is not yet delivered from the distributor/sophos do my supplier.

I wanted to restore a backup from the ASG220 but after restore the SG230 was directly asking for a license file.

My plan was not to reconfigure everything on SG230.

Is there any Gracetime on the ASG220 License? Or is it anyhow possible to have a trial license until I get the correct license for the SG230?

  • You should contact your reseller, they should be able to help.

Barring that... you can convert your UTM220 license (current one) into a SG230 license right there in the Myutm.Sophos.com portal, yourself... note that this operation is generally irreversible, and if you are not sure of what you are doing, you could have some problems.

  • they are not able to help me because they are dependant from they distributor.

And I cannot move my license because it still will be expiring on sunday then.

The only thing they/we can do is to ask for a trial license on Monday, but then things already stopped working.
