3g UTMS Modem listed as eth device

Hello All,

Attempting to set up a 3g USB connection on my home firewall as a failover device.

Using a Vodafone K4201-Z.

The UTM appears to recognise the device, but when I go to add an Interface, it isn't listed under the 3G/UMTS hardware, interestingly, it does appear if I select a different interface type, such as Ethernet, where it is listed as "eth4 USB ONDA Communications S.p.A".

Have run the following commands/results.

    This is more than one year old, but I stumbled on this with the same problem.

    I actually resolved this simply by setting the newly created Ethernet device to use a DHCP IP.

    This caused the USB to connect to the mobile vendor APN and provide me with internet access.

    I have tested it and it is working ok with load balancing and all.

    I have the same ZTE model from Vodafone Egypt.
