Can't log in - using correct password

I logged in using a password manager earlier today after a new installation from CD-image.

Now using the same password (cut-and-past from a password manager) I get denied.  I've run into this twice and reinstalled twice.

There's something wrong with the authentication system, but other than going to another security solution from another vendor, what can I do?

Thanks,

Doug

PS - I'm seeing that the proxy authentication is failing too.  Again, this appears to be a complete failure of the authentication system within the UTM.

  • Doug, this just isn't something we see around here.  If Dirk's suggestion to try with a simple password works, then I'd worry about the password manager.  Please let us know your result.

  • I've been using this for decades so  I'm not sure what's going on or where to point.  One thought is the password manager has a sync to DropBox to share password database among devices.  There may be a problem there, but it's of course unrelated to Sophos.
I installed from image again and am having no issues at all.
    Not sure what to think.

    Thanks,

    Doug
