vDSL and VLAN tagging issue

Hi Guys,

I've switched from DSL to vDSL PPPOE and having issues getting the link up. What I did:

Put the vDSL modem on bridged mode

Checked VDSL checkbox

Tried without VDSL and doesn't work

Used VLAN 100 in the WAN interface as I can see my provider using VLAN 100 when changing connection mode to bridged

What do you guys think is wrong here? I attached screenshot of my UTM and modem.

What does the provider's tech support say about the VLAN 100, Mohamed?

What do you see in the logs when you try to connect?

My ISP use vlan 100 that's from their auto configuration and online guides.

I was able to make the connection without unticking the VDSL option but don't understand why it worked?
Is there any difference between the options? I can only see VDSL changes to MTU size.

You have to tag VLAN only to one interfac. In the modem or in UTM, not both

Hey Oldeda. I tried untagging my modem which is on bridged mode and tag my UTM interface but won't work.

I can't untag my UTM interface the default is always set to VLAN 7 even if I remove it.

From the PPPOE logs it says send PPPOE discovery but it then says unable to to complete PPPOE discovery after it times out.

Sure you can't untag UTM interface as VDSL is Checked. VDSL works on VLAN Base.
Tag vlan100 to modem, and in UTM use simpl PPPOE without VDSL.

The MTU Size is 1476 but you can find the MTU size with ping (once connected)
Ask your ISP for correct VLAN remeber
