Does any one know if the E1500 Celeron processor in the UTM220 Rev 5 is embedded? ... also, the HDD, has anyone everytried installing an SSD in this unit (clone the original to an SSD)? Or is it IDE or something?
with all of these mods getting your own hardware might be an option..[[:)]] an ssd isn't going to save you much and isn't going to materially affect performance either..stick with the spinning rust..[[:)]]

Yes, true, the SSD might be overkill then... but still the CPU, LGA775s can be picked up for next-to-nothing nowa days.
I have several sites with more users using more capabilities on 220 Rev.5 units. I would caution that modification can damage the device and that would not be covered by the warranty.
