Hey everyone,
We have a bunch of UTM firewalls deployed that we're setting up failover interfaces on and I was just wondering if anyone knew exactly what Automatic Monitoring does? I can't seem to find much in the way of documentation other than the obvious of it monitoring the different interfaces for activity. But how does it monitor the activity?

Thank you for reaching out to the community, With the uplink balancing function, you can combine more than one Internet uplink, either to have backup uplinks available or for using load balancing among multiple uplinks. Combining up to eight different uplinks is supported.
Note: The UTM can only route traffic to one interface or another based on rules, or automatically balance the traffic between interfaces based on weight. There is no way to combine speeds of two interfaces into one, virtual or real. You cannot take two 10 Gbps Wan interfaces and create a single 20 Gbps interface. In systems with two 10 Gbps interfaces that are evenly balanced, a single connection may use up to 10 Gbps and a second connection routed out the other uplink can take the other 10 Gbps.
