httpproxy maxxing cpu every day at same time

I'm running version: 9.715-4 on a VPS (4 vCPU, 8gb of RAM and 200GB disk) every day httpproxy  pushes the CPU to 100% (according to tom). It starts to ramp up at 11.55am, peaks at about about 12pm and has dropped back to its usual 5% by 12.15pm.

The thing puzzling me is that the only two lines involving httpproxy in the crontab (below), don't match up with that regular schedule around mid day.

14,29,44,59 * * * * httpproxy /var/chroot-http/usr/bin/virus_feedback_uploader

6,16,26,36,46,56 * * * * httpproxy /var/chroot-http/usr/bin/virus_sample_uploader -p /var/chroot-http

This started happening about a month ago but wasn't associated with a change in firmware. The disk space is barely half used and the memory usage picks up a bit when the CPU maxxes out each day but only to about 25% of taht available..

Any suggestions very gratefully welcomed.
