Sophos RED60 with 9.7 UTM Native vlan issue

Hi,

just a quick question. I wanted to replace 1:1 a RED15 with a RED60. As we replaced the devices and adapted the configuration. We used default Switch Mode in RED settings. After that only the untagged/native vlan worked. Is there a total different behaviour when it comes to native vlan behaviour?

Is it necessary to use trunk port mode with RED60 when using multiple vlans?

Is this different behaviour documented somewhere?

Thanks,

Sebastian

  • RED15 is not VLAN-aware. It is a nice goody we have tagged packets after passing the RED15.
With RED60 you have to configure the VLAN function for every port.
