What is the Interface Hostname for?

Howzit,

When creating an interface (VLAN in this case), I noticed there is a Hostname field. What is it for? Looking at the Sophos UTM Help that comes with the UTM, there is no mention of the hostname.

Hello Werner,

The hostname can be left empty, there are some ISP that require to receive the hostname of your system in this case, you would configure it in the interface. Basically it resolves to the interface FQDN.
