UTM SSL VPN: SENT CONTROL [ad_username]: 'AUTH_FAILED' (status=1) after change in SSL Profile

Hi all

I have a VPN Profile with a usergoup under "Users and Goups" and Group of Computers under "Local Network".

All was working fine for several weeks.

Now, I had to change the Settings for two users and removed them from the usergoup and setted up a new Profile for this users.
After that, these users get the error "SENT CONTROL [ad_username]: 'AUTH_FAILED' (status=1)" when they try to establish the VPN.


Any suggestions what to do?

  • Sorry for the circumstances.

    I just found out, that the user group was also used for OTP under Authentication Settings.

    So, after removing the users from the group, I had to manually add them to Authentication Settings under OTP.
