Zoom Phone with SG125 (UTM 9)

Trying to configure ZOOM Phone services (via there Application) on UTM 9. Had Sophos techs open the ports and added all the IP addresses required by Zoom. For some reason this still doesn't work. Has anyone configured Zoom Phone service to work with Sophos SG125 (UTM 9)? Please help!

List of IP addresses:

8.5.128.0/24
64.211.144.0/24
103.122.166.0/23

213.244.140.0/24

Ports:
TCP - 5090:5091

  • If using web-proxy, you have to configure proxy-exceptins too. (* zoom.us)

Also the listed IP#s should be excluded from SSL-Scan, AV, ...

  • I have tried everything as suggested. Sophos Tech's opened our appliance wide open and still was not able to use Zoom's Phone service. I'm beginning to think that there is something going on within the Sophos appliance that is not software controlled or can be accessed in any normal convention. I know it's not the ISP cause I connected directly to it via a laptop. I also know it's nothing on the network cause I connected directly to the back of the Sophos appliance. Maybe just time for some updated equipment. Who knows.

  • Recently started using zoom meeting here.  It would not connect unless the following were exempted.   Maybe zoom phone is using these also?

Had to add the following to the http proxy exceptions to allow it to connect.

    • ^https?://([A-Za-z0-9.-]*\.)?zoom\.us
    • ^https?://([A-Za-z0-9.-]*\.)?zoomsvr\.us

  • Just replying back for those who might run into this problem.

So after spending countless hours and days trying to figure out why Zoom phone would not work. It came down to a simple setting.

Set the MTU setting to 1500 (From 1440) on both Internal and External Networks.

It all works now. No other settings required.

    It just works!
