Hotspot Captive Portal not working with VLAN tagging

Hi.

Believe I found a bug :-(

When running with hotspot for vouchers, the captive portal page does not appear if I set up the SSID with VLAN tagging. The clients go directly out to the network with no authentication.

Only workaround I find is to use untagged VLAN and use the built in "Guest Networking" with NAT. Traffic is then routed through the normal LAN, so we loose control over the guest network.

Another workaround that we probably will use instead is to use the guest network as the native vlan - this will require some extra work on locating the ports on the switches, but it will probably allow us to use vouchers on guest net and vlan tags for other networks.

Hi,

we were able to reproduce this and are working on a fix. The issue is tracked internally with CWIFI-5086 .
