What is the lag time on analytics from the AP up to the cloud?

I've got the AP online and clients are working off it ok, but there is not connection info shown in the cloud. Have i missed a step in onboarding? AP is an AP55 and had firmware provisioned from a UTM 9.4.

Part B - cloud times - are they UTC or based on my region/device local?

  • feedback? at preset the AP is now not really working - i have deleted the AP, added back, deleted SSID's added new etc...

the last SSID i added is broadcasting and works - but cloud says the AP is not broadcasting any SSID and still not reporting telemetry.

  • I created CWIFI-3949 to track this. There seems to be an issue with configurations not being applied correctly. I see a mismatch in network IDs + the firmware seems not to be updated. I will come back when having more information.

  • Any update??

this morning the AP has tried to get firmware, failed 2x

I'm not sure at present if it's working at all as it's no longer broadcasting

The console has reporting updating for the last 30 minutes (it was offline earlier, and took 2 cold boot cycles)

is there a factory reset function for the AP - should we execute that - so far this unit has done nothing but burn time - the wireless when on has been perfectly stable, but when off, as there is no data in the console, i have no ideas as to why.

on a side note, there is only 3 days left in my trial account - am i going to have to delete this and setup another one to continue this next week???

  • HI Justin,

you don't have to worry about the licensing as we currently don't enforce it.

We don't have any news about CWIFI-3949. What you've experienced now seems like something that is not related in any way. Is the AP now online?

I'll ask someone to investigate and post more information.

    Best regards,

    Andreas

  • Hi Justin,

You should have received a mail about your trial license being extended.

As Andreas rightly said, the Wireless beta license does not currently have an expiry date but, of course, your Sophos Central trial did and so I asked for that to be extended. It should now be valid until mid-July.

As some point after launch we will be converting the Wireless beta licenses to trial licenses with an expiry date but we will give you plenty of advance warning about that and the options open to you, as a partner, to keep using Wireless.

I hope your system is up and running soon.
