When I had our IT company install four Sophos APX 320 access point in our new office they did not use the plenum and flat ceiling brackets that they purchased. What they did was to lay the access point on top of the ceiling tile. The wifi works but it seems that the signal is not as strong as I thought it should be. Is it acceptable to have the access point sitting on top of the ceiling tile?
