Overview

The product team is pleased to announce the maintenance firmware update for Sophos APX firmware version 11.0.021 with important security, hardening enhancements, and reliability fixes.

Bug Fixes

NAF-244- The APX320 experiences intermittent behavior where the ethernet Rx gets into a stuck condition. This causes the APX320 to go into an inactive or offline state. A fix has been taken in the driver for the APX320 to prevent this issue.

NAF-210- The APX Access Point goes offline after a kernel OOPs.

NAF-178- The APX was not adding a VLAN tag when receiving fragmented packets.

Parents
  • Is there a way via CLI or web GUI (not Central) to confirm my APX devices have the updated firmware on them? The AP Firmware in the GUI shows 'Success' but that could be only one of my APs, as the other is on the remote end of a MESH network not directly connected to my network other than through MESH.

  • Sure, SSH to XG then type 5 for "Device Management" and 3 "Advanced Shell".
Then type in command "awetool" then "Connect to an AP" and select an AP and enable SSH access.
Wait some seconds and do again "Connect to an AP" and select the same AP as before (! AP order can change).
If you are connected to AP it will automatically show you the current firmware.
