Interface goes unresponsive when a new interface is added

I am using sophos xg430 firewall. I have noticed a strange behaviour that when a new interface is added, the adjacent interfaces becomes unresponsive. Either we have to wait for almost 10 hours to have the interface to respond/we need to reboot the firewall to have it work.

that is bad news, which version of XG firmware are you using?

Thank you for reaching out to Sophos Community.

In addition to Ian's query, have you found anything on the Logs upon experiencing the issue?

Also, is there any other functionality that isn’t responsive upon experiencing this?

I would also recommend contacting Sophos Support to have this further checked.

Absolutely no logs. I did reach out to Sophos support, they are suggesting reboot, which is really inconvenient during production hours.
