Monitoring

Question

Hi! 
 I am new to Sophos. I want to know is there any way to monitor some hosts (it could be just a ping), that are outside of your network. 
 The reason for it is that one of the clients has several servers in the cloud and firstly he wanted to do it via failover rules in wan link manager, so that he knows which of these servers is not reachable, but because Sophos doesn't have notification settings for that, I am curious if there is any way to monitor your hosts.

Hello, 
 if my understanding is correct you want to monitor hosts you have hosted in the cloud and if this goes down the Sophos Firewall to let you know. If that is the case this isn&rsquo;t possible with the Sophos Firewall, usually, you need 3rd party monitoring systems for this type of setup, like SNMP. 
 As per the Sophos Firewall, this would be a feature request.

 There is also a Notifications that are enabled by default for Gateway Status you just need to enable email notifications to get alerts: docs.sophos.com/.../index.html 
 
 You can also monitor gateway status using SCFM: https://docs.sophos.com/central/customer/help/en-us/ManageYourProducts/Overview/Alerts/FirewallAlerts/index.html
