Getting a blank screen with "Internal Server Error" while using the web interface. Only solution is to restart tomcat from CLI.
It looks like this issue has been brought up many times before. I still have this happen way too often. Multiple firewalls, different models all on v18 MR3 or mostly MR4 now. Just had it happen again on an XG210 while doing packet capture.
I read there was a fix for the v17.5 version at some point!? Is Sophos Support aware of this bug in v18?
Hello Bjoern,
Thank you for contacting the Sophos Community!
There’s a known issue investigated and fixed on 18.0 MR5 under NC-64984 this relates to the issue happening when refreshing a packet capture…

If you haven't I would recommend you to open a case with Support to have this issue logged and share the Case ID.
If you are able to reproduce the issue, try putting CSC in debug mode
# csc custom debug
To turn off debugging run the same command
And provide the output of the csc.log and tomcat.log and df -h
Regards,
And what is the expected release date of MR5? We are suffering from this issue almost non stop while working on migrations.
Support told us it could be a few months...?!!
Assuming not that long TBH. I cannot comment on the ETA or anything but checking on the release page, MRs are getting pushed out in a 1-2 month cycle.

Hello Bas,
There’s no ETA for 18.0 MR5, but most likely middle of Feb, for the cycle Luca mentioned, have you been provided with any Known Issue ID that is affecting you that you can share?
The Problem is still there.
Hello Michael,
This issue is resolved in MR5, MR5 isn’t released yet, it’s coming out this week.
Hello,
