Is there a possible way to manual update for geoip ip2country DB ? Current Version at "0" | No Pattern updates

Hi Guys,

we currently had three different XG's where aftern an update to V18-354 geoip ip2country DB pattern could be loaded.

The current version is indicated by 0.

Has someone already had the same problem?

We already reboots, manuall update or waited a certain time (<24 hours)

Thanks in Advance!

Kind Regards,

Max

  • Hi

XG Firewall is preconfigured with continent-based country groups. These groups are populated from predefined country IP ranges. The IP ranges are hard set and updated as part of the up-to-date updates that the XG Firewall Firewall receives on a regular basis. Because of this, the individual countries and their IP ranges cannot be modified.

The provided screenshot is not clear but as I can check it is not showing the current version and status.

Could you please enable fsck from the SSH console and reboot the device once?

    fsck-on-nextboot

Check the file system integrity of all the partitions. Turning ON this option forcefully checks the file system integrity on the next device reboot. By default, a check is OFF but whenever the device goes in failsafe due to following reasons, this check is automatically turned ON:

    • Unable to start Config/Report/Signature Database

    • Unable to Apply migration

    • Unable to find the deployment mode fsck-on-nextboot[ off | on | show ] Once the check is turned ON, on the boot, all the partitions will be checked. The check will be turned OFF again on the next boot.

If the option is ON and the device boots up due following reasons, then file system check will not be enforced and the option will be disabled after boot:

    • Factory reset

    • Flush Device Report
