Gateway up and down

 

Dear Sir / Madam,

My XG-210 has an down and up time for a period of a day, the first time happen last month, I call ISP that said no problem of physical link.

Email message like this:

Dear Administrator,

You are receiving this auto-generated message from Sophos Notification System to inform Change in Gateway Status.

Gateway: Internet
Gateway IP address: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
Gateway Interface: Port2
Status: Down

    Please login to SSH console and check for syslog and sysmessages.

    Please also check the Interface negotiation speed of the WAN interface with an upstream device.

    Please check the IP address added in the WAN gateway failover condition, The device will keep sending a request to that specific IP to check the status of the gateway if the request does not get a response for the configured time, it will trigger the alert of the gateway as down

  • I had a similar issue with the gateway going down randomly.  I thought it was the modem but it turned out to be a bad ethernet cable.

    Select Menu Number [0-7]:

    I can't find syslog and sysmessages from the subfolder of choice 1-5?

    Then I try top check the interface negotiation spped of the WAN interface with an upstream device.

    I can find some System graphs from Diagnostics of Monitor & Analyse:

    But I can't find the specific date / time of that port 2.

    At last, how can I check the IP address added in the WAN gateway failover condition?
