Temporäre Blockade vom Internetzugang

Ich habe eine Home Edition (1) am laufen und eine RED 15 (2).

 

Dabei habe ich die RED im Standard mode am Laufen.

 

Die XG hängt direkt an einem Glasfaser mit 500kB up/down. Erstaunlicher weise setzt die Verbindung zum Internet immer wieder aus. Das passiert mir nicht nur hinter der RED, sondern auch wenn ich im LAN von der XG direkt bin.

 

Nach einer Frist von 15 bis 60 Sekunden funktioniert es wieder. Ich habe mir eine XG135 zugelegt und werde es parallel schalten und ein paar Versuche machen, ob es an der Home Edition und der beschränkten Leistung hängt.

Hat jemand noch eine Idee oder das Problem auch schon gehabt?

    Hi  

    The Home edition does not have any limitation on Bandwidth.

    Home Edition is limited to 4 cores and 6 GB of RAM. The computer can have more than this, but XG Firewall Home Edition will not be able to utilize it.

    Let me tag fellow community member  he might have an idea about it.

    Hi,

    I have had  100/40 mb/s service others have used the home edition with 1gb/s service and not had too many performance issues. The throughput is really a function of your CPU performance and IPS settings.

    You cannot use a RED at home, the licence does not allow it.

    Hi Ian

     

    RED is working with the home edition so far. There is no limitation as i know. Will check it with the responsible sales manager in Switzerland anyway.

     

    V18 is not available from official side for the home edition so far.

     

    The XG135 is not working due to Corona. I am blocked and have no access to my office and the delivered items, else i had already tested the configuration.

    Hi Wolfgang,

    v18 should have automatically advised you that it is available on the assumption you have notifications active. 

    So far

    v18 build 339

    v18 build 354 today (24/3/2020 Melbourne time)

    Would run a manual update check.

    I do not understand XG135 not being available, does not make sense?

    I tried the manual check at the home edition, so far was there no information for an update.

    On the other side why is XG135 not available?

    It's from my license paper.

    I had a phone call with the sales manager of Sophos and he approved my knowledge that RED is working with XG Firwall Home. Of course with the known limitations.

    He gave me a hint to check the version of RED, because the RED is an older one.
