I have a problem setting up a NET 15 and RED 50 with Static IP.
Currently both work with a DHCP link.
I hired an internet provider that now provides me with a dedicated link.
The provider gave me the network settings such as IP, Gateway, Network Mask, DNS. And these settings will work if I set up directly on my Notebook's network adapter.
When I configure Sophos through the web interface (XG Firewall) Sophos cannot communicate with the internet provider.
The "Router" light just flashes and then it restarts.
I already checked with the provider if there are any blocked ports on their device. But they said there is nothing blocked.
In our network, we have other problems that work with dedicated link without problems, so much so that the configuration of both is identical. With that I ruled out the possibility of being some cop or firewall rule that blocks communication.
This problem also occurs on RED 50 where it has 2 DHCP links. I configured one interface as Static and left the other as DHCP, for him to communicate with the Cloud and get the settings, but he can not communicate also on the static link, only in DHCP.
I have no experience in Firewall, nor in network management. But I really need some light to be able to set up these devices.
