Sophos Haertbeat service not running any more

Hello,

 

This weekend I received a mail that our firewall is no longer connected to sophos central.

I see that haertbear and enhancedappctrl service isn't running any more.
How can I restart this service without restarting the firewall via advanced shell?

  • Hi We have had this issue from last Saturday night, together with problems accessing Sophos Central. Heartbeat and enhancedappctrl are stopped and I can not turn them on.

    I now managed to access our Sophos Central account but services are still off. Please sort this out ASAP, this has been going way too long.

    If there is a way to start the services please let us know.

    Seems I have managed to sort this out and services are running again.

    It seems that you have to re-register with sophos central with your username and password and will connect you again.

    Just type in your credentials. You need to go under 'control panel' then click on 'heartbeat' (which is located just on the right hand side where 'system', 'cpu & memory' and 'network' links reside).

    You will then see a clickable link saying something like 'register with sophos central' or something like that. When you enter it the page will appear where you can enter your Sophos central credentials.

    Things will be back to normal again with all services running again. Good luck.

     I had the same problem and you have to re-register the XG firewall at Sophos Central.

    Strange thing is that Sophos Central are treating it like a newly registered account !

  • seems to be related to the Central maintenance window at weekend. 

    Please contact Support to get more insight on this.
