Automatic scan

Hi Uttaran, 

It is normal and files can be scanned only when accessed. Unfortunately, this feature is not available for the Sophos Mobile Security. 

But if the file contains a virus and the file is not accessed yet... would the virus harm my mobile or not?

Assuming the downloaded file is idle(not executed) on the mobile device, it shouldn't be causing any harm. If the file tries to make changes or actions, that is when the AV comes into play and it would be taking appropriate action on the file.

Thanks for your reply...i have two more question:-(1)When i try to manually scan my device Sophos uses too much battery...why?

(2)The scheduled scanner works well except scan while charging option... a couple of days ago  i set scan before charging option and today i checked the log file but there was no records for scheduled scanning(scan while charging)... please give me a solution

Hi Uttaran,

1. The resource consumed by the scan depends on the amount of data present in the Mobile device.

2. The Schedule scan should be working as per your configuration, however, as it doesn't, please do share the screenshot of the setting you have under setting for the scheduled scan. 

Please explain me the whole process of scheduled scan while charging...
