that is what I tried to do. But - unfortunately - I cannot download "mobile security" because on the "downloading page" is clearly written - This apps incompatible with your system. We have Android 4.2.2 and we CANNOT download this from Google Play.

I tried installing Sophos Mobile Security on my test mobile which has Android 4.4 and it did not work. I even tried using an apk file, still no go. The older version of Sophos Mobile Security works on the lower version of Android OS (not recommended), unfortunately, the only option we have is to update the Android OS version.

I figured out that the current version which is available from Google Play is Sophos Mobile Security 7.05.2355 which was updated only a week ago (24-Jul-2017) and that could possibly be the reason for the incompatibility. I tried installing the version 7.0.2288 on Android 4.4 and it worked, hence you should probably be able to install it on Android 4.2.

Please download the Free Antivirus and Security 7.0.2288 for Android 4.1+ APK Download from here. Let me know if this helps resolve your issue.

I downloaded package form APKPURE (several times). I allowed installing third party apps.

But our Android 4.2.2 reports "Package is invalid".

And on APKPure is version

  7.05.2355  and not 7.0.2288
