Hello,
Following a compatibility problem because Sophos no longer cares about Android Go edition users, a new problem came about on a different device I am protecting. I have Intercept X (still) installed on my mom's phone (which is NOT Android Go) and we have an LTE router for our internet connection. I changed providers recently, and since then Sophos keeps on detecting our WiFi as "suspicious" whenever my mom's phone connects to it.
I have observed that, for some reason, my new provider's connection triggers captive portal on devices connected to my network (I noticed this on my Firefox browser on a desktop computer). This is consistent with some of the description provided by Intercept X on its detection details, suggesting what it picked up could possibly be triggered by a login prompt to access the network. The captive portal part is not what disturbs me though (I'll deal with my ISP separately) as I just mentioned it as a background for the annoying issue with Intercept X.
So there are options to disconnect, ignore and a third option I didn't bother remembering. I hit disconnect and it turns the phone's WiFi off. I open Intercept X and device status along with network security are stuck at one issue found. I tap network security and I see WiFi security in red. At the bottom where my WiFi network is listed, when you tap that it suggests to Forget the connection. I assumed that the feature is stuck in red because the problematic WiFi is still listed there, so I decided to follow what Sophos said: hit Forget on my home WiFi. After doing so, I was routed back to Intercept X and the feature is still in red and stuck at "issue found." I closed and reopened the app: same thing. I rebooted the phone: same thing.
Why is it stuck if I already did what it wants me to do: to Forget the problematic network? And please don't say compatibility issue because this is a Nokia 2.2 running the FULL edition of Android 10 with patch level of July 2020.
Can anyone help with this please?
