Does anyone know if this plugin is strictly only available in the desktop version of Automate or can the plugin be accessed the web based version of Automate? I suspect I know the answer is going to be Desktop version, judging by the progress Connectwise has made on the web version over the years.
Thanks,
Hi Chad, Our Auotmate integration is functional on the hosted version. Since you don't have access to the machine itself in the hosted version, you will need to open a ticket with Connectwise for installation and enablement.
Wait, ConnectWise has made progress on the web version?
/sarcasm
(So far as I can tell, the plugin's only available in the desktop version. There doesn't seem to be a UI element in the Sophos plugin available in our web control center, anyway.)
Hello Elias, I believe the question is more about the web UI for Automate rather than an installation problem in the hosted platform. ConnectWise claim to be replicating all parts of the desktop product in the web UI at some point, but that "some point" feels like it'll be about two days before the heat death of the Universe at the rate they're going (and with their sudden push of the Continuum product as "CW RMM").
I have already worked with Connectwise and have the new Sophos plugin working on my Hosted Automate. Right now I can only access the Sophos plugin via the Desktop app of Automate. My question is; does the Sophos plugin have an interface for the Web Control Center of Automate? Same Automate server just two ways of accessing the data Desktop App / Web Interface.
Actually in the latest release, they have now added Contacts to the Web Control Center. Of course the hosted version of Automate is still two versions behind. So I can't confirm if it really was added.
Yeah, I got the "hey, you can download 2021.10 now" email (about 2021.12, good job updating the template before sending out the email guys) back in December and... we haven't been updated. Nice to see we're paying them beau coup dollars for speedy updates.
(Annoyed by ConnectWise? YEAH JUST A BIT.)
Ah, thanks folks for the clarification. We have not done any work to support nor test the web version.
