MICROSOFTONLINE.com Blocked? WHY

Boom..

This Morning Our Intranet Page was blocked by Sophos, Means Office 365 SharePoint Page was Down and We had a Chaos.

Any One Any Thoughts Why Would Sophos Block a Microsoft Page?

Same problem here.

This meant nobody could access ADFS authenticated apps for sometime. The website is have been put in the "Spyware" category which is causing the issue. Manually setting the category on the website fixed it, but it shouldn't be happening.

We had this also. From 10am AEDT https://login.microsoftonline.com was categorized as spyware and blocked. Nice one sophos.
This along with our consistent client/system services problems, I think its time to switch vendors.

Been dealing with it all day.

Customers with:

Sophos Web Appliance

Sophos Endpoint On-Premise with Web Control activated

Sophos Central with Spyware blocked.

I am sure The Sophos Were Able to See this at Their End Too.. As This Could have been topped the list when a Microsoft was blocked (As All The Orgs Use this Service)

We have reported it to the Support But We Need depth RCA for this.

Luckily The Fix was Easy to Have it Un Blocked / Add Exemption else we would be in more Trouble :(

Apologies for the inconvenience caused, microsoftonline.com is now re-categorized from our end and should no longer be blocked as Spyware. If the issue is still seen on any client machines please try clearing the browser caches and then retry it.
