Sophos Free Antivirus for Linux Installition

First of all, thank you for downloading Sophos Free Antivirus for Linux. 

On the download page there was a link to download the guide, https://secure2.sophos.com/en-us/medialibrary/PDFs/documentation/savl_9_free_sgeng.pdf?la=en, if you missed the link could you please let me know as I will make it more prominant. 2. Change to the temporary directory and untar the tarball: tar -xzvf tarball 3. Run the install script: ./sophos-av/install.sh

This is very complicated to understand in the directions.  Please help explain.  I have been thru this several times and cannot get this part figured out.

Hello,

You will need to find the downloaded tarball file (think of it as a zip archive file) that you got from Sophos.com. This will be in either:

~/Downloads

/home/username/Downloads

/tmp

Once you have located the file run:

tar -xzvf sav-linux-free-9.tgz

Then run

./sophos-av/install.sh

You will then be guided through the setup process.
