Sophos Free Antivirus for Linux Installition

Hello, I am new Linux user, I am currently running Ubuntu 14.0.4, I really want to install Sophos Free Antivirus for Linux, however since I am not as familiar to Linux as most people are I am having trouble figuring out how to install it. If someone could tell me how to install it I would really appreciate it. Thank You

    2. Change to the temporary directory and untar the tarball: tar -xzvf tarball 3. Run the install script: ./sophos-av/install.sh

    This is very complicated to understand in the directions.  Please help explain.  I have been thru this several times and cannot get this part figured out.
