Sophos Free Antivirus for Linux Installition

Hello, I am new Linux user, I am currently running Ubuntu 14.0.4, I really want to install Sophos Free Antivirus for Linux, however since I am not as familiar to Linux as most people are I am having trouble figuring out how to install it. If someone could tell me how to install it I would really appreciate it. Thank You

    Hello,

    You will need to find the downloaded tarball file (think of it as a zip archive file) that you got from Sophos.com. This will be in either:

    ~/Downloads

    /home/username/Downloads

    /tmp

    Once you have located the file run:

    tar -xzvf sav-linux-free-9.tgz

    Then run

    ./sophos-av/install.sh

    You will then be guided through the setup process.
