  • Hi

Please go to the following location and check if the installer is present:

    • 32-bit computer: C:\Program Files\Sophos\Sophos Virus Removal Tool\
    • 64-bit computer: C:\Program Files (x86)\Sophos\Sophos Virus Removal Tool\

If the installer is available, please you can run the following command line:

    • 32-bit computer: C:\Program Files\Sophos\Sophos Virus Removal Tool\SVRTcli.exe -uninstall
    • 64-bit computer: C:\Program Files (x86)\Sophos\Sophos Virus Removal Tool\SVRTcli.exe -uninstall

Please refer to the article Overview of the Sophos Virus Removal Tool (SVRT). Let me know if this helps your query.

  • thank you Haridoss

i wasn't able to locate the installer file you mentioned, unfortunately.  i've had several system resets since adopting Windows 10 last year.  every time i get a newly updated

OS i seem to be lacking in some of my files.  can you tell me how to use Regedit to delete the entries that are causing the problem with the uninstall?

i probably don't really require the SVT since i do have Sophos Home beta running, but i believe you can't have too many "safeguards" at your fingertips these days.

again thank you very much for your kind assistance.
