Does on-access Scanning for Linux send file information to developers?

I just installed Sophos Free for Linux on my Kubuntu machine, and I have a question about the On-Access Scanning feature. I'm a huge privacy addict, and I'm wondering if anyone knows whether the data Sophos collects, for instance, during the On-Access Scanning process, stays on the system or does it get sent to the developers for any reason? Or is no data on the files stored anywhere at all?

Thank you for contacting us. Please refer to our Product privacy policy for Sophos AntiVirus for Linux on this document. When the threat is detected while on-access scanning, it creates Threat data but it is only applicable for the Sophos Central managed SAV for Linux which is licensed(Paid) version and also this version will not collect any user-specific information for Threat Data.
