SBAV Tool Unable To Open Files and Scanning Physical

Question

After an unintended remote access of a computer at a client site, we were running the Sophos Bootable Anti-Virus tool to ensure nothing nefarious has taken place. After short while, several messages were output like this 
 Could not open /mount/dev/sda2/Windows/InfusedApps/...[further path]... 
 followed by 
 17:00 PHYSICAL:0800:0020:0000:0021 
 Now the output does not appear to be changing. 
 Does anyone know what this indicates? Any input would be much appreciated.

 The issue that you have reported seems to be similar to the one reported in the following thread. 
 Problem with Sophos Rescue disk scan freezing after update of engine to 3.75 The issue reported in this thread is being actively investigated by our team and expected to be fixed in the engine version 3.76.0 (I currently do not have the release date for it, will update it once the information is available).
