Odd issue with Sophos menu

Can someone tell me what's going on?

 

ps. I'm not talking about the orange banner.

    Hi mac_savant,

    This is a reported issue with Sophos and it is being worked on. The fix is already being rolled out and will be reaching all the user by next week. Meanwhile, you can try the following workaround.

     

    You would need to simply remove the file  "com.sophos.scans.plist" at location Machintosh HD/Library/Preferences/  and restart your machine.
