can not update manually

Hello,

When trying to update manually, I receive the following error messahe: 'Failed to download 'sdds:SOPHOS': invalid authentication. Please check PrimaryUpdateUsername and PrimaryUpdatePassword.

Failed to update from primary update source. Redirecting to secondary update source.
Failed to download 'sdds:SOPHOS': invalid authentication. Please check SecondaryUpdateUsername and SecondaryUpdatePassword.
Failed to replicate from all update sources'

I have re-installed and changed password: to no avail.

Hi George Paraloffsky,

May I know what Sophos product are you using? and what is the OS of the client machine in which you see this machines? Is it Sophos On-prem, if Yes please subscribe the Endpoint Security and Control group so that this can be moved which will help you in getting a better response.

Thank you for the prompt response.

I use sav-linux-free-9.tgz witj Manjaro Linux.

I stupid question, but one looks for weird thing is cases like these: Are the user name and password the same I use to enter this forum? (I use them to update definitions.)

When you install the installer asks "Do you wish to install the Free (f) or Supported (s) version of SAV for Linux?"

If you say free, then the installer downloads update credentials automatically.
