Updating virus definitions on a standalone Linux PC that is not connected to the internet

I installed Sophos Antivirus for Linux on a standalone PC that is not connected to the internet. I use it to scan files on removable media. According to the website, manual updates are no longer supported and therefore update packages for virus definition files are no longer available from the website. Then how can I update the definitions on my standalone machine? Without a proper procedure for this, my AV installation will be quickly outdated.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Levi G,

The Linux machine has to either connect to the internet to fetch the updates or connect to a network where it can fetch the updates from a SUM or Update cache server. In later scenario the client needs to be managed one and can't be standalone.
