Sophos XG Firewall Home Edition installed on virtual machine

Question

Hello, 
 I have been searching around, but I have not been able to find the correct answer for my issue yet. 
 I am running VMWare Workstation 14.0. I would like to install Sophos XG Firewall Home Edition as a virtual machine. The install went fine, but I am unable to connect to the web page to start the configuration process. I set the first NICs to host only and configured a virtual network for 172.16.16.0. My computer was given 172.16.16.1. I am unable to ping 172.16.16.16. I disabled DHCP on the virtual network. 
 Would you have any recommendations on how to setup VMWare to work properly with Sophos?

Hi Lynn, 
 On the console could you enter the command option 4 
 console> system appliance_access enable 
 Access the device using the IP <Https://172.16.16.16:4444> 
 Also , you may need two NIC cards. You may simply add them and bridge with the physical interfaces. 
 After enabling the admin settings you may disable the appliance_access 
 console> system appliance_access disable
