Hello.
I am dealing withe the following issue:
- 1 Workstation (laptop) with Windows XP, Sophos SG version 6.00.1.31, as a SG Standalone configuration.
- A user who has forgotton his Password, locked the worksation because he has extended the maximum failed logons.
- The Key Recovery File is not available, it is only on a (known) folder on te workstation.
The SG Authentication loginscreen has no login available (the OK button is greyed-out), only the C/R procedure is available,
but as mentioned, no Key file is available.
I cant use the SafeGuard Management Center to create a Respond code off course, with out de Key Recovery File.
I am capable to use a Security Officer account (even the Master Securty Officer account), but as mentioned, the userlogin box
can't be used because of te not available OK button (because the Workstation is locked I guess).
Is there any method to acces the Workstation?
I have used the Sophos SG Windows PE startdisk to get acces, but no content is displayed of the C Drive.
If there is no way to get acces, how i cold erase the machine's harddisk and re-install a fresh OS.
