Unequal Broadcast of Bandwidth for ap 50's (NO TRAFFIC SHAPING RULE)

Hi folks

I just encountered a weird problem regarding sophos AP.

This is the Scenario.

When we connect an AP into UTM.. Our network became slow despite nobody was connected to that AP.

But when we try to unplugged the AP, network turns into Normal speed/bandwidth..

What was the cause and solution for this problem..?

thank you

  • Hi,

has the AP been connected to a different UTM or XG in the past or is it a brand new AP?

If previously connected, try a manual reset. Otherwise you need to talk to a reseller.

  • let me rephrase my question sir..

we have 2 aps connected into the XG appliance.

one ap (AP 1) is connected/assigned near XG appliance and the second ap (AP 2) is connected/assigned more distant from XG.

    The problem is

when AP1 is connected alone in XG appliance network speed/bandwidth is normal but then when both aps are connected, network became slow (no one is connected to AP2).

You must unplugged AP2 in order to make the network normal again.

    Thank you

  • Hi,sounds like an IP conflict? When this happens can you see both APs and if so can you see what IP address has been assigned to them?
