I purchased a AP15 to use with my Sophos UTM hoe built system. I have the AP15 connected to a dedicated NIC on my home Sophos setup. When I go to the control panel and add the AP I get the following which I used.
Attention: This is the first time you are enabling Wireless Protection. To ease your first steps, a basic configuration will be created. You might consider taking notes before pressing the "Apply" button, but you can always change anything later.
The following configuration will be added to your system:
• A wireless "Guest" network with the following credentials:
Network Name: SophosGuest
Network SSID: SophosGuest
Encryption: WPA2 Personal using AES
PSK: *********************XX
• A network interface on the wireless network with the IP address 172.16.28.1/24
• A DHCP server, listening on the wireless network, enabling DHCP for wireless clients
• The wireless network will be added to DNS > Allowed Networks, allowing DNS for wireless clients
• A NAT/masquerading rule, enabling wireless clients to access other networks
All are above created correctly and I have checked in each area and all were created. I am only trying to use the Guest Account at this time until I can get wireless internet and to make sure it is working correctly, which is my problem.
The wizard creates the wireless as a separate zone.
I see the SSID of SophosGuest in my wireless selection on my computer. Every time I use a computer, Win 8.1 pro or Win7 to connect to the AP via wireless I get a message that I only have limited access and no internet access and the connection is listed as Unidentified. When I do a ipconfig /all I do not see an IP in the address range in the DHCP address range for wireless. I have tried restoring the system to a previous version prior to wireless and changing interfaces but still the same results.
My UTM is using the latest version and was recently updated.
Any suggestions are welcome and thanks in advance,
Greg
