Clients can't connect to same SSID on different AP

I hope I'm putting this clearly:

I've got AP50s in two buildings with the same 4 SSIDs assigned to them.  When a client on an SSID goes from one building to the other it can't connect to the AP there with the same SSID - it has to choose a different one and then after some time is able reconnect with on the original SSID.

This has been happening to several people with iPad Air and some with a variety of Windows laptops.

If anyone has a suggestion as to what might be happening and how to fix it I'd be grateful to hear.

Thanks,

Steve

  • That's interesting, Steve.  Can you show us the lines from the wireless log when a device leaves one building and tries and fails to get onto the same SSID in the other building?

    Cheers - Bob
