AP30 and Samsung Note3 complaining

Hi,

Since I got my Note3, it keeps complaining at home that my "Wireless Network is unstable".

It doesn't do this at work.

I'm running 9.106, with an AP30 (great signal); I'm using Channel 11 and only one neighbor shows up on my site survey, on Channel 6.
No other 2.4GHz devices in the house.

The only devices normally on the WiFi are the Samsung Note3, 1 iPhone5s, and 1 iPad. 
There are a couple laptops and a Wii, but they are usually powered off.

Connection is FiOS, and I have uplink monitoring enabled, and I don't get many alerts from the UTM that the line is down, nor do I see any problems when using wired devices.

In addition to the Samsung's alerts, sometimes pages including Google aren't loading on the phone.

I don't see anything in the IPS and firewall logs, and I'm not using the proxies.

    The big samsung phones are a bit weird.  I have a mega 6.3 that gets a bit weird on wifi.  First turn off connection optimizer..that adds to the instability.  I also restrict the phone to CDMA only when i'm in the house(i don't have 4G).  If you have 4g then use the LTE setting..i would not leave it in full auto as it gets unstable.  It sounds weird but that's been my experience..[:)]

    I had an HTC on Sprint with the Connection Optimizer, but I don't think T-Mobile phones have that (I can't find it).

    The phone switches off cellular data when on WiFi, even with 'Auto Network Switch' disabled.

    We do have a T-Mobile booster (3g) in the house; the iPhone works well with it, but the Note3 does not like it very much; lots of missed calls, weak signal graphs, etc.
    Also, when on WiFi calling, I get missed calls too, but that also happens at the office.

    My samsung Galaxy S3 started complaining about unstable wifi since I upgraded to Android 4.3 (from 4.1.2 iirc). Before this uprade I never saw the unstable wifi connection message....
    It does this at home, but also at work (both using AP30)

    Hi, I got my Note3 recently, and it came with Android 4.3.

    Previously I had an HTC One which didn't complain (and the iOS devices).

    Samsung devices have issue with most femtocells.  One workaround is to put the phone in 3g only for the cellular side.  Most phone disable cellular data when wifi is detected..that's standard procedure.  No need to run both data sources at the same time..good battery saver.  The connection optimizer is a sprint thing...tmob does have that exact thing.
